BRYAN, Texas -- Augusta State posted a final-round 306 Sunday and finished in a tie for 11th in The Aggie Invitational at Traditions Golf Club.
Sophomore Keith Guest (78-77-76) turned in ASU’s best individual finish with a tie for 33rd. Fellow sophomore Jamie Miller (80-79-74) booked the Jags’ best round of the day Sunday with a two-over 74 and tied for 44th. Sophomore Mike Keast (75-85-76) tied for 55th while juniors Major Manning (79-80-80) and Wallace Booth (79-75-89) finished 59th and 65th, respectively.
Texas Tech claimed the tournament title with a 12-under 276 in the final round to overtake host Texas A&M. The Aggies owned a 15-shot lead heading into the final round. Texas Tech’s Oscar Floren fired a six-under 66 to capture medalist honors by three shots over Baylor’s Ryan Baca.
ASU returns to action May 14-15 when it wraps up its regular-season schedule in the Linger Longer Invitational at Reynolds Plantation in Eatonton, Ga.
