Kari Viola is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Augusta State men’s and women’s cross country programs.

A 2009 graduate of Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., with a B.A. in Psychology, Viola will assist head coach Adam Ward in all facets of both the men’s and women’s programs.

Viola began her collegiate career as a cross country and track and field student-athlete at Holy Cross before an injury forced her to transition into the role of student assistant coach.

Viola, who spent last year serving as a volunteer for AmeriCorps – Boys Hope Girls Hope, is pursuing a master’s degree in Community Counseling from ASU.
